Born in the countryside in rural Georgia in the late 70’s I’ve always been fascinated by art and nature. Most of my life has been spent either traveling and doing artwork. Traditionally trained as a Computer Animator, I work for a video game company but in my spare time I like to paint and create pottery.
I love bold to incorporate bold colors into my landscapes and macabre delicate details in my watercolors. Animal and human anatomy is highly fascinating and in addition to my art of such subjects I have a large collection of bones and such.
A sampling of my work is currently on exhibit UNC Womens Hospital.
Paganism is an important part of my life as it incorporates my love of nature, honors my ancestors and teaches me about other cultures in the world. My artwork is an extension of my spirituality. The movement and study of the brush, the color and focus on the details allows my mind to enter into something much like a meditative state while painting.
Also as a lover of fantasy, much of my art is based on descriptive writings found in books such as Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolken. You can always find me with a good book, my art or knitting needles in my hands.
